The dependent parents or dependent divyang siblings of a State Government employee may approach the Designated Authority of the Organisation where their son/daughter/brother/sister is working. They can approach the Designated Authority seeking for apportionment of salary of the employee to be paid to them directly in case their son/daughter/brother/sister no longer takes care of them or if they do not have sufficient sources of income to lead a decent life.
The Designated Authority will essentially be an officer or functionary of the State Government or the Organisation, as the case may be, or such officer or functionary, not below the level of Drawing and Disbursing Authority, as may from time to time be notified under Section 6 as such by an order by the State Government or by an Organisation for the purposes.
In case there is no one appointed as the Designated Authority in the Organisation during the time of appeal or if the Designated Authority refuses to accept the appeal then the dependent parents/ divyang siblings can approach the Appellate Authority with their application. However, if no one appointed as the Appellate Authority during the time of appeal or if the Appellate Authority refuses to accept the appeal then the dependent parents/ divyang siblings can approach the PRANAM Commission directly with their application.
